Part 1: The #1 Thing a buyer should NOT do when purchasing a home is go looking at homes before you money is right, ie, a valid pre-approval within the past 30 days.

Part 2: but why not? Because you will fall in love with a home you want to purchase, and your ducks will not be in a row (ie your MONEY, your agent, your timeline, your house prep, etc) and you won’t be able to move fast, and you will loose out on a home that your really loved and wanted to call home.
